That political godfatherism poses as an instrument through which elite investors control state power and resources via the hands of their 'puppeteer' godsons is the standpoint which the study unfolds. The main concern, as stated in the foregoing, is to examine how Adetiba's King of Boys and Akindele's Your Excellency satirizes the causes and effects of political godfatherism in Nigeria polity. Power drunk discontentment, the mandate to control state treasury, political competition among others served as its causes while imposition of mediocrity into political office, political corruption, Apathy, its effects. The first chapter outlined the purpose of the study, boundaries of the research, procedures for data collections, theoretical framework, literature review and thesis. The data used were collected from the primary movies. Newspaper publications, articles and journals were also utilised in the study. Social Realism in all its ramifications served as the framework which the study is built on, after which the need for the study was justified.
