ABSTRACT
This study investigated the influence of women participation in political system in Egor local government area of Edo State. The purpose of the study was to Ascertain the perception of women in politics. Determine the involvement of women in politics. Find out ways in which women are encouraged in participating in politics in Egor local government. To guide this study four research questions were raised, the population of the study was 100 and a descriptive survey research design was adopted for the conduct of the study with the use of a questionnaire as the instrument for gathering data to answer the research questions. The use of mean, frequency and positioning were used to present the results for ease of discussion and interpretation. The results showed that the study concluded that the level of Women’s participation in politics in Egor local government is low. Therefore, it can be inferred that women’s participation in politics is largely dependent on Women Education.
