ABSTRACT
This study examined the influence of the school environment on the academic performance of business education students in tertiary institutions. A survey research design was adopted for the study. The population of the study consists of 183 students, made up of 98 300L student and 85 400L business education students of the University of Benin, Edo state, Nigeria. The instrument for data collection was a structured questionnaire. The validity and reliability were ascertained with a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.78. Data collected were analyzed using man and standard deviation The findings revealed that business education students were largely influenced by the school environment on the academic performance in tertiary institutions. And based on the findings, the study recommends, that Universities and Educators should enhance classroom dynamics, promote positive peer interactions, invest in the development and maintenance of infrastructure and improve support services to create a comfortable and conducive learning environment. of business education student.
