The data was analysedusing frequency counts, percentage, mean and standard deviation. The finding shows a significant relationship between the teacher'sprofessional preparation and choice of teaching style. This finding isconsistent with Callahan, Clark and Kellogg2002). Teachers mustmodify their teaching styles and teach a vast repertoire of strategiesbased on their professional preparation. The right combination of teaching styles contributes to pupil's academic performance in pre-Primary classes. This is in line with Curtins's (2002) study, whichsuggest that teachers who adopt an interactive teaching style can better meet the unique needs of their students.
