ABSTRACT
This study focuses on the influence of teacher's personality on student academic performance in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The population of the Study is made up of students in junior secondary school within Egor local Government Area of Edo State, out of which 100 students were randomly selected. From the research findings, it shows that teacher’s personality and mastery of subject area aids student's academic performance and the ineptitude of teachers also influence student's academic performance negatively there by reducing interest in learning. Also, from the research findings teaching practice is an essential aspect in Education that prepare teachers in becoming professionals to enable them carry out their duties effectively. In conclusion, the essay projects that teacher's personality which comprises of outward appearance, attitudes, inherent and acquired behavior has a way of influencing student's academic performance. A good teacher has great personality which in turn influences student positively while a bad teacher will influence the students negatively.
