ABSTRACT
This study examined the influence of school environment on the academic achievement of Biology students in secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The independent variables examined were; class size, instructional facilities, peer relationship and school location while dependent variable is students’ academic performance in Biology. To achieve the purpose of the study, four research questions were formulated to guide the study. Literature was reviewed based on variables in the study. The research design adopted for this study was Descriptive survey design. One hundred and fifty (150) SS2 students who offered Biology in public secondary schools were randomly selected for this study. Data collection was done using questionnaire named school environment on the academic achievement of Biology students in secondary schools constructed by the researcher. The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection, the data collected was analysed using descriptive statistics such as percentage, means and standard deviation.
