ABSTRACT
The main objective of this study to study the influence of political activism on social change and the case study being oredo local government while the specific objective was studying how political activism influence social change in Oredo local government and this would be discovered by carrying out a purposive sampling would be carried out and hundred respondent are selected and survey are carried out.
The findings first this study reveled that most the people living in Oredo local government area do not see themselves as politically active or politically active people, most of the males in Oredo local government area are more politically active the the females in the local government area, and the female are less likely to be included in political discussions or activities.
A lot of Nigerians do not know the meaning of political activism, alot of the respondents do not aline with any political party and sentimental voting is still active and is not diminishing any time soon.
The study recommended to combat this situation the people living in Oredo local government area are To become more politically active and female population in Oredo are encouraged to more politically active and be more politically engaged just like the men in Oredo, education should also be a main focus and there should be an increased support for progressive candidates and progress policies and that a culture of resistance should be encouraged amongst the people in Oredo.
