ABSTRACT
This study investigated the Influence of Parental Involvement on the Learning Outcomes of Students in Secondary Schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo state as a case study. In the course of this study, the descriptive survey research design was chosen for the study, and simple random techniques were used to get the respondents and data for the survey. A total of one hundred and fifty respondents were used as the sample study size. The instrument was validated and tested for reliability Responses from the questionnaires were used to answer the five research questions that were raised to guide the study. Through extensive research and analysis, a substantial and positive connection between the level of parental engagement and students' learning outcomes. These findings highlight the numerous benefits of parental involvement, encompassing the reinforcement of teacher-student bonds, heightened student motivation, and the provision of valuable insights into effective teaching methodologies. Additionally, active engagement in school-related activities and the adoption of a more comprehensive educational approach have surfaced as pivotal factors contributing to exceptional learning outcomes. Based on the research findings, this study proposes several key recommendations, including encouraging parents to make frequent visits to their children's schools, actively assisting with homework assignments, fostering strong communication channels with teachers, and consistently participating in Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meetings, as well as attending parental workshops and seminars, as all these tend to aid positive influence on students learning outcomes.
