The Influence of Marital roles/responsibilities and career

Summary

The objective of the study was to examine the roles/responsibilities and career of female undergraduates in the University of Benin. The research design was the descriptive survey research design. The target population for the study was all students in the department of Sociology, Home Economics and  Biochemistry, in the faculty of Social Sciences, Education and Life Science in 400 Level respectively. The sample size of the study was 170 chosen using the stratified sampling technique. The study’s research instrument is the questionnaire, which was duly validated and certified by the researcher’s supervisor. 170 copies of the questionnaire were distributed but 156 valid copies were retrieved. The data gathered was analysed using the descriptive statistics and chi-square technique.
