ABSTRACT

This study investigated the influence of family instability on the academic performance of senior secondary school students in Benin metropolis. The researcher was interested in finding out how family instability affect students academically in Benin metropolis. To guide this study, four research questions were raised and examined. The design of the study was a survey research design. The population target comprised of 200 students from Oredo, Egor, Ovia North East and Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Areas in Benin Metropolis. The research instruments used in gathering data was the questionnaire, which were administered to the students. An analysis of data was done using simple percentage and frequency counts.
