ABSTRACT
The study investigated the influence of exercise on the mood and mental health of student-athletes in the University of Benin. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that there is a significant influence of exercise on the mood and mental health of students athletes in the University of Benin. Also that engaging in regular exercise helps to uplift mood, helps to reduce anxiety, depression, psychological stresses, enhances cognitive function and overall academic performance of students-athletes
