ABSTRACT
The broad purpose of the study is to determine the Influence of Agriculture co-operative in the development of food production in Edo State. The study determines the role of cooperative societies plan in the development of agriculture in Ovia South West Area Council of Edo State. The study Examine the forms of benefit members derive from cooperative societies in Ovia South West Area Council Edo State. It examines the forms of benefit members derive from cooperative societies in Ovia South West Area Council Edo State. Its examine problems militating against cooperative activities in Ovia South West Area Council Edo State. The study determine the strategies that will help to curb problem militating against cooperative societies. Its examine the measures which all the levels of government will embark on to enhance the cooperatives for better development in Ovia South West Area Council Edo State. The study adopted the survey descriptive research design with the aid of convenience sampling method, the researcher purposely selected one hundred and twenty (120) cooperators for the study. Self - structure questionnaire was issued to the respondents and validated for the study. Data was analyzed using simple percentage, presented in frequencies and tables. Hypothesis test was conducted using Pearson product Moment Correlation (PPMC).
