ABSTRACT
This research work focuses on Church Planting in Nigeria: Issues and Prospects. The study identified the major factor of church planting which is "Evangelism". Some literatures were reviewed in relation to the topic with the themes and sub themes of the study. However, in the course of the work, the researcher used some instruments of data collection. These instrument emanated from both the primary and secondary sources.This research employed the survey research method, which includes oral interview and personal observation. Books, journals, viii published and unpublished articles and internet sources were also consulted as part of secondary sources of information.In the course of the study, it was discovered that inappropriate financial management in the church is a barrier to missionary work. Recommendations are proffered for positive measures in which the church would be able to fulfill their divine mandate.
