ABSTRACTThis thesis examines the impact of reward system on organizational performance using Union bank Benin City. The main objectives of this study are to examine if salaries and wages have impact on organizational performance. Data was obtained with the use of questionnaire and presented with simple percentage. The data was analyzed using Chi-square statistical test. From the results of findings, it was discovered that there is a positive significant relationship between salaries and wages and organizational performance in banks. In addition, it was also discovered that there is a positive relationship between incentives and bonuses and employees productivity in banks among others. Therefore, the study recommends that there should be proper appreciation of employees in the work place as it stimulates organizational productivity. In addition employees should be adequately praised or recognized as praise or recognition is effective ways of motivating employee behaviour in an organization.
