SUMMARY
The Endsars protests in Nigeria was a major protest that occurred in Nigeria, spilling across the state into the African continent and international system. The protest involved crowds of Nigerian youths marching against brutality and human rights violations committed by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, (SARS).1 This body of work analyses the Endsars protest and uses it as a case study to reveal the impact of protests on a nation's international relations. It reveals the nature and causes of the EndSars protest alongside its origin, activities, and timeline. It also examines the legacies of the EndSars protests and the effects of the protest on Nigeria's perception in the international community. This research work aims to use the Endsars protests in Nigeria as a case study to critically analyse the role of protests in international politics and provide a comprehensive understanding of the impact of protests on Nigeria’s international relations. Although Nigeria has seen several protests, the Endsars protest is unprecedented and one of Nigeria's most major protest.
