ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research work is to examine The Impact of Nigeria's Government Economic policies on the mental wellbeing of citizens. Three Research questions and Two Research hypotheses was examined in the study. To achieve this, the descriptive survey research design was adopted. The study focused on Ovia North East Local Government Area, in Edo State hence, population consists of all adult citizens 21 years and above residing within Ovia North East Local government Area. The stratified random sampling technique was used to select a sample of 75 students. To this end, the researcher recommended that government should not only focus on the supposed Economic benefits but also its impact on the living conditions of citizens when formulating its economic policies, government should provide jobs and empowerment programmes for citizens, to enable them to have the means to afford their daily necessities before any form of subsidy removal.
