Summary
This study was carried out to determine the impact of the management of job stress and the organizational performance: A case study of Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa, Bayelsa State (2010-2019). The objective of the study was to examine the dynamic causes of job stress at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to investigate the effect of job stress on employees’ performance at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to discover the effectiveness of stress management approaches in improving employee performance at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa, Bayelsa State and to identify the challenges of stress management on employees’ performance at Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, four research questions were raised and answered. The study adopted survey research design. The population of study of this research is made up of 2213 staff strength of FMC Yenagoa, Bayelsa State. The sample size of this study is 221 respondents drawn from all staff cadre. The instrument used for the collection of data was the questionnaire which was administered to a total number of 221 respondents and 218 was retrieved. The data collected was analyzed using simple percentage analytical method.
