ABSTRACT

This study examined the Impact of Home Economics vocational training on employability skills among graduates from the University of Benin, Benin city. This research, conducted in the University of Benin, assessed how Home Economics vocational training impact the employability skills of graduates and  also how it benefits them. solutions to the challenges of social media on the writing skills and language usage of the students were also given. The study surveyed 20 Home Economics graduates from the University of Benin, Benin city. Four (4) research questions were raised to guide the study.  The survey research design was adopted for the conduct of the study using a questionnaire as the instrument for gathering data to answer the research questions. The instrument was validated, and subjected to Cronbach’s Alpha reliability co-efficient, and a reliability index of 0.791 was obtained. frequency count, mean and standard deviation were used to analyzed the data.

The findings from the study showed that home economics vocational training has more significance impact on the employability skills among graduates from the University of Benin and there is significant gender difference in Home Economics vocational training. It was recommended among that government should ensure that a worthy amount of is allocated to resources distribution and upgrading the vocational training centers for easy learning and proper orientation should be given to students about the importance of Home Economics vocational training.
