ABSTRACT
The study focuses on The Impact of Fourth Generation Network (4G) for Effective Library Service Delivery in Academic Library in Nigeria. The study goals were focused on the impact of cloud computing technologies on library services in academic libraries in Nigeria, the extent to which cloud computing technologies have affected the delivery of libraries services in academics libraries in Nigeria. The findings from the study indicated that there are numerous the impact of fourth generation network (4G) for effective library service delivery in Academic Library in Nigeria amongst which are: 4G network has provided opportunities for providing value-added information services and access to a wide variety of digital-based information resources, The use of 4G network in the library has made information easy to handle effectively and efficiently, 4G technologies allow multiple access to an information source using keywords to search for the information. The study adopted the descriptive survey research design. The data collected was also analyzed using descriptive statistics. The findings from the study indicated that there are numerous impacts of 4G network on library services in academic libraries. Lack of effective internet connectivity, Inadequate budget allocation to the library, Epileptic power supply, and are the challenges to the impact of 4G Network on library services in academic libraries.
