ABSTRACT

The study investigates the effect of Boko Haram on Nigeria Federalism and also are well Nigeria has been able to manage its crisis. Boko Haram in Nigeria has been a regular feature in Nigeria it's existence can be traced to the mid 1990's. This phenomenal has attracted a great deal of comment across the world. Commission of inquiry had on many occasions been set up to look into the cause of Boko Haram menace and making recommendations without in fact looking into the underlying factors of these regular crisis

This study therefore is an attempt to look into the underlying factors that provoke the uprising of Boko Haram and it's effect on Federalism

The study is based on the assumption that Boko Haram in Nigeria today is certainly a perennial and serious problem, capable of causing total political upheaval and instability: a problem that seems to defy solution because the effort of the government and especially the present democratic government of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to check this problem, it continues to re-occur from time to time.
