ABSTRACT
This study was intended to evaluate the entrepreneurial education as a tool for reducing unemployment in Ovia North East Local Government Area. This study was guided by the following objectives: to assess the level of implementation of entrepreneurship education in academic institutions in Ovia North East Local Government Area; to examine the entrepreneurial skills that could be attained from entrepreneurship education; to examine the impact of entrepreneurship education on unemployment in Ovia North East Local Government Area; to examine the challenges of implementing entrepreneurship education in Ovia North East Local Government Area; to recommend strategies for better implementation of entrepreneurship education in Ovia North East Local Government Area.The study employed the descriptive survey research design; questionnaires in addition to library research were applied in order to collect data. Primary and secondary data sources were used and data was analyzed using descriptive and the chi-square test tools at 5% level of significance which was presented in frequency tables and percentages. The respondents under the study were young school graduates of Ovia North East Local Government Area. The study findings revealed that entrepreneurship education has a significant effect on unemployment in Ovia North East Local Government Area and also, strategies for better implementation has significant effect on entrepreneurship education in Ovia North East Local Government Area.
