ABSTRACT

The objective of the study was to examine the effect of entrepreneurial education on business success in Egor Community, Benin City, Edo State. Strategically, the study sought to determine the relationship between adequate knowledge of entrepreneurial education and training and business success and to investigate how practical application of the knowledge acquired in business education significantly affect the performance of the company in Egor Community, Benin City, Edo State. Additionally, the study investigated if continuous training and adaptation of entrepreneurial education have a significant impact on the performance of the company in Egor Community, Benin City, Edo State. The study utilized the descriptive survey research design. The study covered a sample size of One Hundred (100), of which One Hundred (100) was retrieved and used for the data analysis. The findings of the study had demonstrated that there is a significant relationship between entrepreneurial education such as adequate information and training, continuous training and adaptation and practical application of knowledge and business success in Egor Community, Benin City, Edo State. The study therefore concludes that entrepreneurial education significantly affects business success in Egor Community, Benin City, Edo State. As a result of the findings, the recommendations are that owners of businesses should take paramount steps in gaining knowledge that concerns their line of business in order to understand areas where improvement can be made and that the government should set up training centers for business owners and intending business personnels where they can build their knowledge about business.
