ABSTRACT
E-learning has become an increasingly popular learning approach in higher educational institutions due to the rapid growth of internet technologies. E-learning is the use of information and communication technology (1CT) to enhance and facilitate teaching and learning. This study aims at enhancing the performance and efficient learning process through e-learning Technology and confirm the impact of e-learning on students ' academic performance. A sample size of 134 was randomly selected for the study. A well-structured gquestionnaire was used to extract information relevant to answering the research question. The data was analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences ( SPSS) version 21.0 for windows. The results from the structured questionnaire using students studying in the university showed that the use of E-learning improves students' academic performance (GPA). Also the perception of the students to e-learning has significant impact on their attitude towards and that the perception of female is statistically significantly different (p<0.05) from that of males. The study therefore recommends that there should be improvement in the use of elearning as the perception of the study shows An adoption of the model which will significantly lead to better academic performance of the students.
