ABSTRACT
this research study investigated the impact of Christian Religious Studies on moral awareness of primary and junior secondary school students in the Amassoma Local Government Area of Bayelsa State. During the period the research study was carried, five research questions were raised to guide the study. The researcher made use of the survey research technique for the research method. The researcher also made use of tables and percentages to organise and present the data that was collected during the period the research was made. In order to figure out these research problems, various methodology was used such as population of the study and sample and sampling techniques and the research instrument used in collecting data were a two structured questionnaire, Section A and Section B. The first section was organised to obtain the demographic information from the respondents while the second section was designed to get the information of the topics under investigation. The instrument was reviewed and validated by the project supervisor and other experts in the Department of Educational Foundations, Faculty of Education, University of Benin, Benin City. From the findings gotten from the research study, we saw that the teaching of Christian Religious Studies in schools is very important as it will help the pupils and students become good ambassadors of both their schools and society. It will also help them live a life of morality leading to a community that stands on good moral behaviours
