ABSTRACT

Leptoderris trifoliolata, a plant species indigenous to various regions, has long been recognized for its medicinal properties in traditional medicine systems. This study presents a detailed investigation into the bioactive compounds present in the dichloromethane (DCM) fraction of L. trifoliolata using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC). The DCM fraction was obtained through sequential extraction and fractionation methods. Subsequently, HPLC analysis was conducted employing a reverse-phase column and a gradient elution system with appropriate detection wavelengths. The chromatographic profile revealed the presence of diverse phytochemical classes. Peaks corresponding to known standards and literature references were tentatively identified based on retention times.

Overall, this comprehensive analysis provides valuable insights into the chemical composition and bioactive potential of the DCM fraction of L. trifoliolata, laying the groundwork for further investigations into its therapeutic applications and drug discovery endeavors.
