ABSTRACT

The study was carried out to determine the extent of the awareness and adoption of e-learning among Business Education students in Nigeria in the Post- Covid -19 Era. The study was guided by three research questions containing twenty (20) items. The study adopted survey research design. The population of the study was 109 final year students of Business Education in the University of Benin. The sample size of 70 Business Education students was studied, structured questionnaire entitled “The Extent of the Awareness and Adoption of e-learning among Business Education Student in Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria in the Post – Covid 19 Era” were used for data collection. The instrument was validated by the project supervisor and two other lecturers from the Department of Vocational and Technical Education, where 70 copies of instrument were distributed and were successfully retrieved from the respondents. Mean and Standard deviation were used in analyzing the research questions. The study shows that Business Education students are aware that Google classroom, Moodle, Web course tool, YouTube, Artificial intelligence and Cloud are e-learning technology tools in business education while there is a negative response to Blackboard as an E-learning technology tool in business Education. In the study it was concluded that E-learning is adopted by Business Education students. The study also concluded that E-learning influences the academic performance of Business Education students to a high extent. The study recommended among others that management and staff of Business Education in various tertiary institutions should collaborate with the government to increase the awareness of e-learning among Business Education students.
