ABSTRACT
In the context of the Nigerian entertainment industry, this study explores the world of special effects makeup. The study looks at how special effects makeup has developed into a crucial component of storytelling in Nigerian film, television, and theater with a focus on its evolution, methods, and effects. The project examines the creative processes, difficulties, and opportunities experienced by makeup artists while also taking into account the cultural and technological aspects that influence the industry. It does this using a combination of qualitative analysis and interviews with professionals in the field. The research highlights the expressive power of special effects makeup as a story enhancer and audience engager, shedding light on its transformative potential. This investigation finally seeks to advance the overall comprehension of and the dynamic interaction of all stakeholders.
