ABSTRACT
The concept of sherenting has been around for a while now. It describes the practice of parents publicizing a large amount of potentially sensitive content about their children on internet platforms and is a negative by-product of the internet. In this paper we’ll discuss self-sharenting (for the purpose of this paper we’ll define self-sherenting as publicizing sensitive content about one’s self on the internet or any other public platform). The Internet presents a number of interesting effects on university students all over the world. We'll attempt to cover those effects in this paper.
