ABSTRACT
A field research experiment was conducted in May 14 to September 14, 2023 at the research Farm of Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin, Benin city, Nigeria. This experiment was laid as a 3×3 factorial in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) replicated three times. The treatments include three levels of cultivation methods (Ridge, Heap and Flat) and three cultivars (Landrace 1, Landrace 2 and Landrace 3). This results showed there were no significance in moat of the vegetative characters. However, significant differences where observed in the number of pod, pod weight and Herbage yield. The highest pod weight was observed at Landrace 1 and Landrace 3 while Landrace 2 significantly produced the lowest pod weight. Therefore in this study Landrace 1 and Landrace 3 can be used by farmer in this agroecological zone for groundnut production at using any of the cultivation method.
