ABSTRACT
Most manufacturers of photovoltaic(solar) cells and modules often state the specific power output and average life of the solar panel modules they manufacture after carrying out test under Standard Testing Conditions (STC).
Most times, these conditions do not reflect reality as a lot of users are living in different weather and climate conditions which can affect duration and output of power.
In this project, we test the effect of solar irradiance and ambient temperature on the yield of monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar panels in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria.
