ABSTRACT

In such a dynamic and ever fast changing world that organization find themselves today, issues regarding the training of employees has taken the front burner. For it has become of paramount importance for the human capital factor to be on the cutting edge of information and new ways of doing things. As a result, organizations engage in activities that constantly improve the quality of the human resource capital. This is done through training and re-training of employees.
This study aims at finding the correlation or effect of On-the-job training method on employee performance, as well as providing enlightenment on the benefits and methods of On- the-job training and it standard in the banking industry with special reference to Union Bank Nigeria. In order to achieve the aim of this research study, the researcher adopted the use of questionnaire as the data collection instrument. Information was also sourced from secondary data such as text books and other reference materials.
