ABSTRACT
The increase in the awareness of waste management and environment related issues has led to substantial progress in the utilization of waste products like plastic. This study has presented various aspects on recycled plastic and its usage in concrete.
The main objective of this work was to investigate the use of waste/recycled plastic (polyvinylchloride PVC) as an admixture in concrete mix. This study included the preparation of concrete mixes containing granulated polyvinylchloride PVC as admixture and the evaluation of its properties in fresh and hardened states. The studying properties involved mix workability and compressive strength.
