ABSTRACT
This study investigates the effect of financial strategies on firm performance in Nigeria. Particularly the effect of financial strategies on banks financial performance was examined for the period 2016 to 2022. Ten banks namely Access bank, First Bank, Unity bank, First City Monument bank, Zenith bank, Guarantee Trust Bank, Fidelity bank and Wema bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA) and Sterling bank were investigated for the period. The descriptive statistics, correlation and panel unit root tests were used as preliminary investigative tools. The generalized method of moments regresssion was used to capture the effect of financial strategies on firm performance. The Eview 10.0 computer software was engaged for the estimation.
