THE EFFECT OF AQUEOUS EXRACT OF SOYABEAN ON ERYTHROFERONE, FERRITIN AND SOME HAEMATOGICA PARAMETERS IN ALBINO WISTAR RATS

ABSTRACT

The health benefits of soy is of lavones   have been widely   investigated,   Although, there arc some  concerns as to whether soy is of lavones,   similar   to flavone, antheti     is flavone,   causes   increase   in scrum   ferritin,   erythroferrone,     or pan ytopcnia. Thirty (30) adult   Wister   rats were   randomly   selected   into three group containing IO animals each.The animals in group Bandgroup Cwere fed SO)a b anextract at 20mg/kg and40mg/kg respectively.   The animals   inthecontrol group were given growers mash and water. Serum erythroferrone and serum ferriun were estimated   using Enzyme Linked lrnmunosorbent   assay,full   blood count was assayed using KX-21,   SYSMEX,   auto haematology   analyzer.
