ABSTRACT
This study is a critical study of Kunle Afolayan’ s directorial styles and approaches based on selected Nollywood movies directed by him. The specific objective is to examine the directorial styles and approaches of Kunle Afolayan in the Nollywood movie industry. Content analysis was a veritable instrument in carrying out the qualitative study. Findings revealed that Kunle Afolayan is a realistic director who adheres to the realist approach or concept of directing in his creative culture-centric thematic enactments, which highlights the use of indigenous languages, costume …….. and …... through well-thought and conscious cinematic schemes.
