ABSTRACT
This research sought to address the pressing issue of peer pressure among youths in Nigeria,. The objective is to visualize how peer pressure affects the youths of today in Nigeria. Peer pressure is a widespread problem affecting Nigerians, and this project aimed to emphasize the dangers of peer pressure in Nigeria. To achieve its goals, this project employed art as a medium to show how peer pressure affects a person. It recognized the limitations of previous artistic representations of peer pressure, often failing to capture the African or Nigerian perspective. The methodology involved crafting a composition using oil colors on canvas, encompassing various steps such as canvas stretching, priming, sketching, and intricate detailing, all while adhering to fundamental design principles. I am here to raise awareness among young people about the dangers of peer pressure. This project has opened my eyes to the role peer pressure plays in damaging the society.
