ABSTRACT

This research investigates the connection between the economic status of children and the well-being of the elderly, with a focus on how intergenerational dynamics influence the lives of older adults. Utilizing various theoretical approaches and empirical data, the study delves into the effects of financial support and resources provided by adult children on their aging parents' health, social engagement, and overall life quality. It evaluates how factors like socioeconomic status, family configurations, cultural practices, and shifts in society affect the exchange of care and resources across generations. This study seeks to unravel the intricate relationship between the economic conditions of children and elderly welfare, aiming to enhance understanding of the factors that influence aging and guide the development of policies and interventions to improve the quality of life for the elderly.
