ABSTRACT
This project work is focused on the challenges of pensioners in Nigerian Public Service, Edo State as a case study.
The project is aimed at examining the challenges faced by pensioners in Nigeria, Edo State as a case study.
The writer in reviewing literature of this work and employed a historical method.
The review of different authors in related literatures were put in place, here we have conceptual domain of pensions where it was defined by several scholars and its impacts conferred appraisal, primary data were gathered through the use of personal interviews and detailed questionnaires. The total population size of the Edo State Pensioners were (12,572), Twelve Thousand Five Hundred And Seventy Two and the sample size was three hundred and eighty eight (388) which were sent questionnaires and three hundred and eighty six (386) responded to the question asked, which were later tabulated in the subsequent analysis. Hypothesis were tested and analysis of variance (ANOVA) were adopted to analyze the data collected. The data collected and analyzed were grouped into three K. group for easy ANOVA analysis, from the result, it was discovered that the government administration on pension matters has a great impact on the resolving the challenges faced by the retirees in Edo State.
