ABSTRACT
The era of analogue broadcasting is being gradually fading away as new and modern facility is replacing the old broadcasting gadget. As the broadcast sector woven on the brink of the digital age, the world is witnessing an extra-ordinary range of developments in technology as well as significant changes in the way television and radio programmes are produced, packaged and delivered to consumers. These rapid changes in technology have made available many new broadcast services or platforms to the consumers. This work examines how the mainstream media has embrace digitalization both in it dissemination of information. The study employs the survey research method, and the method of data collection was the secondary method of data collection, this is due to the fact that information was obtained from library and online materials. The study recommends that all media outlets should embrace digitalization and get themselves equiped with new media technology and sophisticated gadget, to be able to meet up with global standard of information dissemination.
