ABSTRACT
This project focuses on 'The Benefits of Massage Therapy to Dancers in Managing Stress as a result of Rehearsals and Performance. The researcher employs empirical methodology, including a systematic literature review which includes books that contains surveys with professional dancers, to examine the advantages of massage therapy in managing stress among dancers during intense rehearsals and performances. It was found that Massage therapy significantly reduces musculoskeletal tension, enhances flexibility, and improves circulation in dancers. Moreover, it notably lowers stress and anxiety levels, enhancing overall well-being and concentration. The researcher recommends that integrating massage therapy into dancers' and choreographers’ training regimens will improve their physical and mental health. It is also recommended that the massage therapist should be able to create individualized therapy plans that include methods like deep tissue massage, myofascial release, and stretching exercises designed specifically to reduce dance-related tensions.
