CONCLUSIONIf NPE is seen as a language in its own right, it deserves to grow along its own peculiar linguistic lines and not being tied to the linguistic apron strings of a mother language. The above findings are clear indications that Youths in Benin Pidgin is gaining strong grounds in Benin City socio-linguistic environment. Though people have conflicting attitude towards NPE but the attitude is more positive than negative. Considering the large population of Youths in Benin that speak NPE either as first or second language, the Government should accept the reality of NPE and make effort to develop it as another important language that binds Nigeria together alongside the English language.
