ABSTRACT
This research is based on the beauty of drama, particularly Nigerian when it has Folkism embedded in it. This research speaks on how the fusion of Folkism and Nigerian drama gives an indigenous reader an appreciation for its beauty while simultaneously educating the reader culturally. This research is an in depth study of Ahmed Yerimas "Orisa Ibeji" and "The Last Grain of Wheat" and these are used to show Folkism and also aim to make the reader dig into cultures to grab a deeper understanding of the plays. Finally this research endeavours to first and foremost appreciate the fusion of Folkism and Nigerian drama and also encourage more Nigerian playwrights to employ the use of Folkism even more deliberately.
