The advantage of electronic learning over the manual system

SUMMARY

This project work through critical design and dedicated supervision has been carried out and presented as a contribution to the use of ICT in enhancing learning. The existing system of learning in Public/Private Secondary Schools in Aniocha North was studied critically and it was discovered that the traditional method of teaching had several lapses. One of which is that both teacher and student need be present in class before learning can take place. The new system has been designed to to handle this lapses as teacher can post lessons from anywhere and student can access lessons from anywhere if they have access to the internet or to the school local network. The rich feature of PHP, APACHE and MYSQL were good drivers for achieving this work. It is depressing that there is slow adaptation to new technology in various organizations as most people will always resist change. But, I hope that with proper documentation done and training, there will be a change in attitude.
