ABSTRACT
Human trafficking has existed as a trade ever since the colonial era, which was in the form of the slave trade. It involves transporting humans within national lines or across international borders to exploit people for labor or sex, which has attracted fresh attention in the recent two decades. This study aims to expose the evil of modern-day slavery, known as human trafficking, and its dehumanizing effect on society by exploring the role of an actor as an advocate for reform. To achieve this, the study explores the use of content analysis by critically analyzing the 2019 Mo Abdul movie 'Oloture', and a literature review will be done to understand the views of other people on this issue. In the course of the research, it has been observed that the actor's role as an instrument of reform to tackle human trafficking has not been fully utilized to its maximum. To achieve change, the actor must be able to understand how human trafficking operates and its effects on its victims, then make maximum use of this information to tell his story properly through compelling narratives.
