ABSTRACT

The study examine team work on organization productivity. The objective of the study was examine the extent to which team trust affects organizational productivity in public organization; to know if team collaboration affects organizational productivity in public organization and to know how team communication affects organizational productivity in public organization

The survey research design was adopted for this study. One eighty eight (188) copies of questionnaire was distributed to academic staff in the University of Benin, Benin City, Edo State. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple regression (ordinary least square method) with the aid of the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) 24.0.

The empirical results of the study revealed that there is a significant relationship between team trust and organization productivity; that there is significant relationship between team collaborationand organization productivity and that there is a significant relationship between team communication and organization productivity. The study recommended that team members should be motivated to use their knowledge, skills and ability to achieve shared goals; that they should be motivated through fair and consistent rewards and compensation and that workers should be trained to increase their interpersonal skills, decision making skills and knowledge of the concept of teamwork.
