ABSTRACT

This study explored the connection between teacher motivation and students' academic achievement in Economics at public senior secondary schools in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State.

The descriptive survey method employed a correlational research design. The sample comprised 105 teachers drawn from six senior secondary schools in the region. A structured questionnaire was used to collect data, which was analyzed using mean and standard deviation.

The investigation revealed a significant correlation between teacher motivation and students' academic performance in Economics. Notably, the study indicated a high level of teacher motivation in Egor Local Government Area secondary schools. Recommendations based on the findings include government initiatives to foster a safe and supportive work environment for educators. This will significantly enhance their job execution.
