ABSTRACT
This study is aimed at assessing teachers’ job performance and students’ academic achievement in public secondary schools in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. To achieve the purpose of the study, six research questions were raised and examined. Data was collected from seven (7) respondents randomly selected from seven secondary schools in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. The questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study. An analysis of data was done using simple percentage and frequency count. The findings from the study include that there is high level of teachers’ job performance in public secondary schools’ in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State. It was concluded that there is a significant relationship between teachers’ job performance and students’ academic performance in public secondary schools’ in Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State.
