ABSTRACT
The world is moving forward in every aspect technologically and the theatre should not be left out. This study is anchored on the need to incorporate the use of digital media technology in theatrical productions using the theatrical production of Bakare Ojo Rasaki’s‘Rogbodiyan’ in the University of Benin as a case study.The objectives of the study were: to investigate how we can incorporate the use of more technology in theatrical productions, to explore the benefits of incorporating technology in theatrical productions and to give recommendations and possible solutions on the subject matter. The qualitative research methodology was employed to gather and analyze data used for the study.The researcher concluded that for the growth of the theatre to happen, the use of digital technology in productions should be encouraged. The researcher also recommended that for the future of theatre-going to continue thriving, more digital technology should be used in theatrical productions and that the students should be introduced to it in the earlier years so that they would have mastery of it from consistent experiences and practices.
