SUMMARY
The following conclusions were made from the results of the work carried out: 1. Solid acid catalysts were successfully synthesized via calcination for biodiesel production. 2. The synthesized catalysts were characterised using SEM, EDX, FTIR, XRF and XRD techniques. 3. The cow horn and marble tiles are suitable feedstock for the biodiesel production via transesterification. The result obtained could be scaled up to enhance the production of biodiesel and hence reduce disposal at the waste materials into the environment 4. Waste cooking oil significantly influenced the quantity of biodiesel produced 5. A quadratic model was significant able to predict the quantity of biodiesel produced (p<0.05)
