ABSTRACT
In the context of a few Nigerian public firms, this study has shown the complex connections between sustainability reporting and financial success. The results demonstrate how important environmental sustainability reporting may not be as a main factor in financial outcomes as economic and social sustainability reporting in impacting financial performance. 57 These findings have important ramifications for organizational behavior and decision-making. Companies in Nigeria should be aware of how reporting on economic and social sustainability affects their financial performance and take this into account when making strategic decisions. In order to ensure accountability and transparency, legislators and regulatory agencies should promote and standardize sustainability reporting standards.
